Dr. McHugh:

Good mourning!  It’s only four o’clock, and I can’t get back to sleep.  Ever since my wife and I watched the documentary, “The Keepers”, I have been waking-up before dawn.

We were grateful to see that the producers included your input into this tragedy.  I am one of Jane Doe’s brothers, and have been painfully aware of your effect on her ability to have her day in court, for about twenty-five years.

Your apparent association with the Archdiocese of Baltimore, is but one of many disturbing facts in this case.  If retained memories are not possible, how do you explain all of these victims, and the crime detail, that has surfaced?  I encourage you to check-out “The Keepers”.  You might put it on your professional to-do list, because Dr. Sipes seemed to have a pretty good handle on the subject.  The one consistent trait that seems to emerge in those people who either covered-up these crimes, or otherwise allowed this injustice to go on, is arrogance.

Quite frankly, I am surprised  that John’s Hopkins is maintaining your position as Professor of Psychiatry.  I am awake, but it could be worse.  If I had provided such a pivotal opinion on stifling these victims, I personally would have a difficult time even getting to sleep in the first place.

Awake,

Michael Hargadon DDS
